Game Day Details, Room for Rent, Nats and Preakness Selling Updates
|
Guys,
This weekend we have our final competition of the spring season. We are playing West Potomac and we will probably have 2 games. The one thing we need to remember is that the last time we played these guys we LOST. We owe these guys a big hit out. We are having the game on the mall with a big post-party at the BL. The game is set to kickoff at 2:00 p.m.
I am asking that all of you guys come out and play this weekend. For all of you guys who have been playing in the spring, please come out and play. This will be a great day and lots of rugby for everyone. For all of those who are playing, please be there and ready to go by 1:00 p.m.
I look forward to seeing a lot of PAC tries and two big wins. See you then.
Your Captain,
Brian "Chicken" Olmes .
Cheers.

MARFU Collegiate All-Stars |
|
Sunday, May 25 at Severn River
We have been asked to play against the MARFU Collegiate All-Stars on May 25. The MARFU Collegiate All-Stars will be a very strong side with the best collegiate players in MARFU.
This will be a great way to end the season with a match against some of the top collegiate players in our territory; helps out the MARFU Collegiate All-Stars in preparation for the Collegiate National All-Star Championships in June; is a great recruiting opportunity for PAC and should be great fun.

Mayor's Cup Kick-Off Rally & Fabulous Door Prize |
|
June 3, 2008
On June 3rd, Alexandria Rugby will be hosting a kick- off rally and reception to announce the thirty finalists who are vying for spots on the Mayor's Select XV squad. Alexandria Mayor Bill Euille and this team of primarily PRU men will travel to Dundee, Scotland to take on the Lord Provost's Select XV in the inaugural Mayor's Cup Challenge Match on August 9th. This will be the first of many such contests (the Scots are coming here next Spring) as Alexandria Rugby strives to promote and develop our sport in and around our wonderful city. The trip will include a couple of Old Boys matches on the Sunday as well to make it a complete rugby weekend.
The door prize for the event is a round of golf for three at the legendary Old Course at St. Andrews (go out with a member) and includes round trip airfare and two nights lodging. The round is set for Monday, August 11 to coincide with the Match weekend.
Every ticket is eligible for the prize - you do not have to be present to win.
Even if you're not a golfer - and you do need to have a valid handicap to play the course - the winner could still take advantage of the travel and hotel vouchers (value = ~$4,000) to come over for the match (or go anywhere else for that matter).
Tickets for the event are $100.00 each and can be ordered via the Alexandria Rugby website www.AlexandriaRugby.org.
